Boombatcha, also known as Christian Lang, is English. He started his career as a dj in 1989, at college radio and various college parties, in Portsmouth, England. In 91, he decided to move to Paris. Then at the opening of Eurodisney in 1992, he organized parties for the employees of the park, the memorable « Fog-it-up » parties at the Boule Bleue. After the large success of these parties, he was quickly noticed and started playing for many Parisian clubs and organizers. In 95, he became resident dj on FG 98.2 fm radio for two years and at the Gibus club for a year and a half (Ministry of Sound tour party).
He also participated during two years as translator and interpreter for Out Soon magazine France, undertaking interviews for well known international djs and artists such as Carl Cox, Carl Craig, Sven Vath, Luke Slater, Grooverider, Leftfield, Peshay etc.. Since then, he has worked two seasons in clubs, one in 98, at Nightlife in Greece, where he was invited to David Gilmour's (Pink Floyd) villa for drinks. Other residencies in 2000, at Oxygène, near les Arcs in the alpes.In August 2002, he was made resident for a record of six years at the Lizard Lounge, in Paris wich contributed to the bars’s reputation.
Today he is resident dj in progressive house parties such as Quattrocento, Les Bains Douches - Paris, K-Lounge and La Villa - Paris. Which has recently seen guests such as Dave Seaman, Lexicon Avenue, Nugen, Yunus Guvenen (Bedrock) & Petter. Also at Progress @ Vogue, Paris. With Sumsonic guests: Chris Gainer, Darko and Paul Rogers.
PRODUCTION
Boombatcha is totally devoted to the production of his music, he was chosen by Bacardi Martini France in 2003 to produce 10 exclusive tracks for their Summer CD project, which is distributed by BMF to over 3000 clubs and bars all over France. The CD “Pronight.com Utimate Mixdown” can still be ordered from various Bacardi Martini websites for the second year running, such as GET 27 and PRONIGHT.
In 2003, he signed “Kotozen “ to Sumsonic’s FKA label in London. Then in 2006 he made contact with Italian dj and producer Luca Ricci, Luca chose 8 tracks for release on his own label Aenaria recordings, a sister label of the Fatal Music group in Holland. They are due for release in 2007 !
When he was young, he used to work for a video company called "Reels On Wheels" as a courier delivering VHS video casssettes to the following people's houses: Stella McCartney, Roman Polanski and John Galliano.
